THE HYPHENATED ARTIST: Multiple Ways We Engage in the Arts and Exist as Humans
Monday, February 8, 2021
7pm - 9pm
FREE admission with reservation
Join Broadway veteran Kimberly Marable (Hadestown, The Lion King, Sister Act) in conversation with composer-lyricist-actor-writer Douglas Lyons (Beautiful! The Carole King Musical; RENT; The Book of Mormon, Dreamgirls) and Broadway producer-actor-activist Adam Hyndman (Hadestown, Once on This Island, Aladdin). This impressive trio will discuss the concept of the “hyphenated-artist” - both in terms of the multiple ways we engage with the arts (as actor, songwriter, Broadway producer, TV writer, and more) as well as the multiple ways we exist as humans (as Black, woman, Muslim, and more).
We encourage you to submit your discussion questions in advance when you register.
